Project Groundation Massive (PGM) Presents—Jahdan Blakkamoore & DJ Child
“Jahdan Blakkamoore, easily the hottest artist making reggae outside Jamaica right now–and one of the hottest, period”
(Eddie Stats, Fader Magazine)
“DJ Child’s new mix again dominates everything out.”
(Riddim Magazine, Germany)
Since their link up in 2004, Jahdan Blakkamoore & DJ Child have been traveling the globe performing & making history in the reggae/hip-hop market. Thier initial collaborative effort “Calling All Jah Children” (Lustre Kings), broke through industry barriers by being the first officially licensed reggae mixtape/album.
“High quality mix cd, fully legal and done right…sure to spur many copycats; remember this is the first great official Bobo-mix cd.”
(Ernie B, Largest Reggae Distributor in the world)
Jahdan Blakkamoore is a veteran in the industry who has worked with legends such as DJ Premier, Branford Marsalis, Smif ‘n’ Wessun, Dead Prez and many more. His group, Noble Society, won “I Tunes Best Reggae Album of the year” in 2008 for their sophomore release “Take Charge”. He followed up in 2009 winning again, “I Tunes Best Reggae Album of the Year” with “Buzzrock Warrior,” (Duttty Artz) his first solo release. In 2009 he was chosen to be included on Major Lazer’s critically acclaimed album “Guns Don’t Kill People: Lazers Do,” with the song “Cash Flow.” 2011 saw the release of his 2nd solo album “Babylon Nightmare” on the Lustre Kings label which garnered highly praised worldwide press and was included in numerous respected DJ’s & magazines “Top 10 Reggae Albums of the Year.” One of the break out hits off the album “Down In The Ghetto,” was produced by DJ Child which has been featured on mixtapes & podcasts all over the world and received airplay on major radio stations such as Hot 97 in NYC, Irie FM in Jamaica & KMEL in the Bay Area, California.
DJ Child is a pioneer in the reggae world. With over 100 projects under his belt and numerous accolades to accompany them, it’s hard to find someone more on top of the reggae mixtape scene then Child. He’s worked with the who’s who of conscious reggae & hip-hop artists, releasing exclusive projects with Sizzla, Dead Prez, Jahdan Blakkamoore, Lutan Fyah, Richie Spice, K’naan, Midnite, Pressure, Capleton & the list goes on. He’s won “Best Mixtape of the Year” by Riddim Magazine, “Top 10 Albums of the Year” by both The Beat Magazine & Riddim Magazine, “Best Mixtape DJ of the Bay Area, California” and many others. His most recent projects, PGM vol. 32 & 33, “Revolutionary Culture” Book 1 & 2 hosted by M1 of Dead Prez, Konshens & Jahdan Blakkamoore won “3rd best mixtape of 2011″ on Largeup/Okayplayer.com (one of the largest & most respected reggae/hip-hop online magazines on the internet).
“This mix far exceeded the DJ mix standard…legendary in our books.”

DJ Child has also expanded his craft by breaking into Hollywood, scoring numerous movies and documentaries in the past few years. In 2011 alone he produced 2 tracks for “The Lie” which premiered with rave reviews at the Sundance Film Festival, 3 tracks for “Just Another Day” featuring Wood Harris, Jamie Hector, Big Daddy Kane, Petey Pablo etc. which premiered at LA United Film Festival, 2 tracks used by KRS-One & Beanie Sigel for the documentary “Rhyme & Punishment (Rugged Entertainment, Director of Beef I-III, Tupac “Thug Angel” & Biggie “Bigger Than Life”) & 5 tracks for “Operation Small Axe” which premiered at the Pan African Film Festival in Denver Colorado & won the “Rise Up” award for “Most Motivational Film.”
Over a dozen mixtape collaborations later, Jahdan Blakkamoore & DJ Child have united to create a full length album “Words of Prophecy” produced entirely by DJ Child. The instrumental for the title track “Words of Prophecy” was featured in the movie “The Lie”. Another track from the album “Runaway Slave” was featured in the movie “Just Another Day”. The album is a concept album which showcases both Jahdan & Child’s versatility. Both artists will be traveling the world in support of this album and are ready to come to a city, town or village near you. Their stage show is very unique—a live mixtape format with no pauses in the music from start to finish. A highlight of their worldwide performances included headlining a huge free festival for the peoples in Bamako, Mali, West Africa alongside traditional African heavyweight musicians such as Zani Diabate (Rest In Peace), Madou Diabate, Abodoul Doumbia & Sidiki Samake. They were the only foreigners invited to perform at a series of events throughout Bamako. Between the two they have have shared the stage with acts such as Damian & Stephen Marley, Mos Def, Sizzla, Elephant Man, Dead Prez, Richie Spice, Midnite, Don Carlos, Gregory Isaacs, The Roots, Lee Perry, Alborosie & countless others. Now they are ready to come to perform for you!!!
Soulja Boy teased fans with the new mixtape 50/13 early in January, and next up he’ll roll out his fourth album Promises. In the meantime, DeAndre has teamed up with Game for an unexpected collaboration on the new single “Too Faded,” which has not yet been assigned to a specific project. The track’s title is pretty self-explanatory, but it finds Chuck and the “Pretty Boy Swag” rapper trading bars about getting twisted and detailing the antics that typically follow that. Game, always one to take a humorous jab, even gives Kris Humphries a shout out. Who said his 15 minutes of fame was up?
Rapper Nyrone recently released the single No Pain from his up coming mixtape By FAITH Or FEAR and set to shoot video for the follow up. The 23 year old Jamaican first hit the scene back in 2005 with team player D-Kidd (2x), on the single up in the club which created a buz on the underground. Since then Nyrone took a break from music to finish high school and later move on to The Caribbean Maritime Institute where he studied Navigation.
In 2009 he began Intership at Romeich records and before you know it he was back in the studio making music.
With the released of HANGOVER Back in 2010, Nyrone reappears on the scenes gaining himself new fans and street credit only this time to a wider audience, as the song also featured DanceHall Vibes master Chi Ching Ching which leads the single to hit fm radios across the island and in some carribbean territories.
Now with the latest single ”No Pain” blowing up the air waves playing on mainstreem radios across the US, Uk and already by Dj’s in France and Germany, Nyrone is excited about the video and looking forward for a promising 2012. For more on the Rapper, Follow Nyrone on twitter @ny2darone
A crazed fan got his hands around DMX‘s throat for a split second at a concert in Long Beach last night … and it was all caught on tape.
X was performing at the Cáfe Sevilla in Long Beach … and was just about to start his second song when some dumb ass hopped on stage and attacked the rapper.
Security rushed right in — and put the stage intruder in a MONSTER choke hold — then wrangled him off the stage.
The DJ briefly stopped the music during the melee … but X immediately ordered him to get back to spinnin’ … yelling, “We don’t stop the music for s**t!”
